Join us for the fourth instalment of TokyoDev Talks, where we have presentations that cut across the stack from engineers working at some of the most interesting tech companies in Japan.
Note that attendance for this event is limited software developers, those aspiring to become one, or working in an adjacent position (e.g. Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Security Engineers, etc). If you're unsure whether you're qualified to attend, please get in touch.
Enjoy talking with the other participants before the presentations begin. Drinks and snacks will be provided by Zeals.
We'll kick things off by welcoming everyone and giving a short introduction of the event.
From growing teams from scratch to transforming large-scale departments, this talk explores what it takes to go from “nothing” to “something” — repeatedly. Martin will share hard-earned lessons on scaling systems, teams, and leadership styles across stages and cultures.
With a strong foundation in engineering leadership, I’ve managed diverse teams at companies like OLX, Mercari, PayPay, and now Zeals where I help build high-performing teams and driving innovative, scalable AI solutions.
Large Language Models often struggle with factual accuracy, especially when dealing with specific domain knowledge. This presentation introduces VERified, a novel framework that tackles this challenge by integrating symbolic logic, semantic analysis, and knowledge graph traversal for robust, real-time verification of LLM outputs.
My background is in robotics research and development, specifically biologically inspired, communication robots, which was the focus of my PhD. Now, as an AI Engineer at Zeals here in Tokyo, I'm passionate about building AI solutions that meet production standards for reliability and performance.
A short wrap-up for the presentation portion of the event.
