TokyoDev is hosting a dinner that will connect Japanese Rubyists with international ones. The event will be conducted in English, but we welcome everyone regardless of their language ability.

To accommodate people of different backgrounds and dietary restrictions, the dinner we serve will be entirely plant-based. It will be entirely free, and will also include a soft drink of your choice (alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase).

18:45 〜 19:00 Doors open

The restaurant we’re holding the event at is just a 3 minute walk from the conference! Make your way over after the lightning talks have wrapped up, and enjoy chatting about them with other attendees.

19:00 〜 20:00 Dinner and discussion

Over dinner, we’ll go around the room, and have participants give a short introduction. We’ll then facilitate a group discussion on a topic related to Ruby.

20:00 〜 21:00 Open Networking

You’ll have a chance to talk one-on-one with other participants, continuing the group discussion, or anything else Ruby related.

Notes

• This event is only open to participants of RubyKaigi 2024.
• Attendees must abide by RubyKaigi Policies.
• We may share photos and details of the event on the TokyoDev website.
• As this event is aiming at connecting Japanese and international Rubyists, we’ve set a limit on the number of participants from each group. We’re aware that some people may be part of both groups. If you speak Japanese natively, we’d suggest choosing the “Japanese Rubyist” option, but you are free to choose whichever you feel is most appropriate.
